With the Fall semester on the horizon, the Raj Soin College of Business will launch a new graduate degree program, preparing for increased distance learning instruction in response to COVID-19, and will offer a tuition reduction to many out-of-state students.
New Master’s Program in Marketing Analytics
The new M.S. in Marketing Analytics and Insights program will welcome its first class of entering students this fall. The program is designed to help meet a growing need for professionals with an educational background in marketing and analytics.
“Students are going to get a fundamental grounding in marketing strategy, and learn how to analyze data for actionable insights to better serve customers for greater business growth,” said Kendall Goodrich, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Marketing.
Bin Li, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing, who teaches big data and predictions, among other courses in the program points to the program’s goals. “Graduates of the M.S. in Marketing Analytics and Insights program will be able to identify and solve marketing problems with data analytics."
New, Lower Graduate Tuition
The Wright State University Board of Trustees approved a reduction in tuition for nonresident graduate students who earned their bachelor’s degree in Ohio. The new tuition rate for out-of-state students will be 1 percent above the in-state tuition rate.
This new tuition rate creates an excellent opportunity for Wright State alumni who now live in Ohio but do not otherwise qualify for the in-state tuition rate. They can complete the M.B.A. program entirely online at only $717.10 per credit, one of the lowest tuition rates in Ohio. The hybrid master’s programs in supply chain management or information systems with only four on-campus residencies over the entire program are two other options, at just $671.85 per credit.
RSCOB Master’s Programs Continue to Enhance Careers
A master’s degree in business can help boost many professionals’ careers. The master’s programs offered by the Raj Soin College of Business continue to excel in advancing the careers of many professionals. In addition to the M.B.A., Master of Information Systems, M.S. in Marketing Analytics and Insights, and M.S. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the college offers Master of Accountancy and M.S. in Social and Applied Economics degrees.
The college’s master’s programs have outstanding curricula, are taught by excellent faculty, and have been an important part of the success stories of thousands of business professionals.
Stacey M. Lawson, PHR, CDM, SHRM-SCP, is currently the system vice president for human resources operations at Premier Health. She recently sent the following testimonial about the role that the Raj Soin College of Business played in her career successes.
"It is said that our success can be attributed to standing on the shoulders of giants and, if this is true then Raj Soin College of Business is one of my giants. Beyond a quality curriculum that catapulted my career, I had professors that were invested in shaping who I was as a business professional outside of the classroom. When I graduated and went on to pursue higher education at Wright State, it was these giants who were within the College of Business who helped me to navigate my graduate degree and it was these giants that served as my early career mentors. Was the Raj Soin College of Business worth it? You bet it was. I received more than I expected and I reached higher because of their influence. Thank you for investing in me both in and outside of the classroom. That’s dedication, commitment, and sacrifice and that’s what you can expect from Wright State’s Raj Soin College of Business."
The career-related uncertainties created by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the economy highlight the advantages that a graduate degree in business can provide to the careers of most professionals. Students with a bachelor’s degree in any field can apply to all of the college’s master’s programs other than accounting. There is still time for students to apply for these programs, and if admitted, take their first classes this fall.
