Managers and employees knowledgeable in human resource topics are critical to ensure organizations and businesses attract, motivate, and retain a qualified effective workforce.

The human resources certificate focuses on the most important functional skills in human resources that are necessary for a career in human resources.

Organizations and companies of all sizes and industries need managers and employees with human resources training. The certificate is a great option if you are a:

  • Current employee in any organization who has been given human resource responsibilities, but lacks the training in human resource specific skills.

The certificate is open to anyone, whether or not you are a current student at Wright State University. If you are enrolled at Wright State, you may add the certificate to their program of study. Program Outcomes

Our faculty have extensive experience in the field and teach students the skills necessary for a successful career in human resources or management.

If you complete the certificate program, you may qualify to take a certifying exam by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Certification requirements include education, experience, and a passing score on an exam that covers the major content areas of HR knowledge.
