Real-World Experience
Entrepreneurship courses are geared towards experiential learning, giving you the opportunity to apply concepts learned in class to real-world situations. You gain experience by solving real business challenges and working with local businesses and executives. Students can develop business plans for local startups, or even cultivate their own ideas as part of regular classwork. You will work with local entrepreneurs and businesses, like those affiliated with the Small Business Development Center, Air Force Research Labs, The Entrepreneur’s Center, and Wright State Research Institute.
The Entrepreneurship Club is open to students of all majors (not just those majoring or minoring in entrepreneurship) and will feature speakers from major businesses, networking and mentoring with local executives, support for your business ideas and ventures, and more.

I didn’t start out at Wright State University. I initially started my postsecondary education at Ohio University where I learned a lot but found myself on the verge of failing out due to not being prepared for college. After a year and a half of schooling and 3 semesters of co-ops I decided to transfer to Wright State and I could not be happier with my decision. Admission
The entrepreneurship minor is open to business majors. You can be admitted to the entrepreneurship minor program once you are a junior and are in a major program. If you are a current student and meet these requirements, go to the Wings Express Major/Minor change request form or talk to your advisor about adding a minor.
Program Outcomes
You will gain a solid liberal arts education foundation, supplemented by an applied education geared toward success in small business planning and growth. This multidisciplinary minor’s courses focus on starting, financing, commercializing, and managing a new business.
Students learn to evaluate and plan new business opportunities, research and write comprehensive business plans, and learn additional skills in market analysis, problem solving, return on investment principles, team building, and planning.
