Five Wright State University Raj Soin College of Business alumni have been nominated for the 2012 Dayton Business Journal’s ‘CFO of the Year Award’. These alumni will be honored for their roles as corporate financial officers at the awards luncheon held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Mandalay Banquet Center.
To be nominated, candidates must have top responsibility for the finances of their organization, prove adaptability to shifting business models, and demonstrate proficiency in managing people, systems and technology in an ever changing environment. The 2012 nominees from Wright State in the Large/Medium Private Company category are Rose Plummer, B.S.B ’82, MBA ’89 and Tim Sayer, B.S.B ’83; Small Private Companies category Judy Brinegar, MBA ’07; Nonprofit category Julie Belden, B.S.B ’88, and Christine Hampton, B.S.B ’00, MBA ’01.
A panel of judges selected the finalists in each category based on five criteria: nominee's career accomplishments, contributions to a company's growth and success during the last year, commitment to ethics, fiscal integrity and accountability, and community involvement.
