Students at Wright State University's Raj Soin College of Business learned how to "Dress for Success" at a fashion show held at the college the evening of Friday, April 12, 2013. More than seventy students in attendance learned what fashions were en vogue for interviewing for a job, dressing in business casual wear, as well as casual looks as they watched VIVA Models from Wright State University walk the runway. In addition to learning what to wear, students also took away a few lessons from the event on what not to wear. "Making an impactful first impression on a job interview includes knowing how to look good," said Dean Li of the Raj Soin College of Business.
The Raj Soin College of Business Dean’s Student Advisory Board presented the event. Student Government, Macy’s, OBEY Independent Clothing, Eagle Registration, and others provided funding and contributions to make the event possible. A raffle was held for fashion-related prizes with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Prizes included a $100 gift card to Macy’s and a $100 gift card to Joseph A. Banks donated by Eagle Registration, 2 gift baskets from Bath and Body Works, a bouquet of roses and a $10 gift card from the Flower Man of Centerville, and a spa package from Creative Images of Centerville.
