Each year the Raj Soin College of Business Department of Economics recognizes the most outstanding students. The 2009 award recipients are as follows. Hoa T. Hoang was acknowledged as an Outstanding Graduate Student in the Master of Science in Social and Applied Economics program. Ian M. Beitenhaus received the award for Outstanding Graduate Assistant in the Master of Science in Social and Applied Economics program. Two students, Jeremy M. Berry, and Jerome D. Cox were acknowledged as Outstanding Graduates in the Bachelor of Science in Business Economics program. The Bachelors of Arts in Economics program elected Michael S. Duffield and Nathanial T. Lincoln to be recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Award. Both Derek Chambliss and Andrew J. Miller were recognized as Outstanding Students within the Bachelor of Science in Business Economics program. In addition to these, Deborah M. Thomason was awarded as the Outstanding Student in the Bachelor of Arts in Economics program.
