Thanks to Wright State University's MBA program I have found a niche in marketing where I see my future. In two separate classes a company was mentioned, Lion+Panda, that was founded by Wright State graduates. With that lead I sought out an internship, which turned into a permanent position. I thank Prof. Kollaard and Prof. Goodrich for setting me on my path.
I was born in Dayton, OH to Major Pedro J. Muñoz of the USAF and Veterinarian Dr. Maria E. Jimenez while they were studying at The Ohio State University. As a toddler we moved back to Puerto Rico where I was raised until my early teens, at which point we returned to Dayton, OH. It was as a youth that I represented Ohio in national competitions for Judo. Judo taught me many things, above all perseverance at the face of adversity.
In my short life I have visited 4 continents and have developed a true wanderlust thanks to my love of History (B.A. Wright State). For my first year as a WSU MBA student I landed a position as graduate assistant to Wright State International Gateway, the international student recruitment branch of our university. Here working under Claudia Espinoza, I learned what it took to properly market a university on the international stage, bringing talent from all corners of the globe. Of particular pride was an International Summer Camp for Columbian High School students that I helped put together.
I love leading fieldtrips so much I landed my second graduate assistantship with the WSU Outdoor Recreation Center. I now help build and plan trips for Wright State students, taking them on trips to places like Puerto Rico, the Grand Canyon, and New Smyrna Beach Florida for outdoor activities.
These days however I have found a passion for digital marketing and joined a young company called Lion+Panda, a perfect place to stay way outside my comfort zone and learn new things -- I am loving every moment.
