Why Choose Accountancy?
An accountancy degree will prepare you with a solid foundation of financial knowledge and regulations to pursue a variety of career paths. This program can prepare you for careers in finance, corporate management, government, or even entrepreneurship.
Our accounting program has high rates of job and internship placement for our students. We are the nation’s only five-time winner of the Institute for Management Accountants Student Case Competition and the only university to have two teams place nationally in the same year. We also provide opportunities just for our accounting majors, such as the John Talbott Accounting Leadership Program, job fairs with local employers, the Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society, the accounting club, and much more.

Admission
Review the admission requirements and complete the admission application. Identify whether you will be majoring in accountancy.
If you are a current student and wish to change majors, submit a Major/Minor Change Request by logging in to WINGS, then select Student Academics under Your Launchpad. If you are an undecided/exploratory student, talk to your advisor about majoring in accountancy.
Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor's in Business with a major in accounting. You will have a broad educational experience in completing professional accounting exams such as the Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Management Accountant exams. This program also provides an excellent background for students interested in pursuing a law degree in the future.
