Why Choose Financial Services?
A financial services degree will give you the analytical skills needed to deliver advice and financial products to individuals and institutions. Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation in all aspects of personal financial management and is designed to meet the growing need for graduates who are knowledgeable in all relevant areas.
The financial services program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board and nearly every graduate of the program is placed in an appropriate internship or job opportunity after graduation.

You will find that finance professionals are in demand as individuals and institutions navigate a constantly changing financial market. If you graduate from this program, you will be eligible to sit for the comprehensive Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® examination. Our students pass the comprehensive CFP® exam with a long run 75 percent pass rate well above the national average.

Admission
Review the admission requirements and complete the admission application. Identify whether you will be majoring in financial services.
If you are a current student and wish to change majors, submit a Major/Minor Change Request by logging in to WINGS, then select Student Academics under Your Launchpad. If you are an undecided/exploratory student, talk to your advisor about majoring in financial services.
Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in financial services. Core coursework focuses on all areas of personal financial management, including investments, insurance, tax planning, retirement planning, real estate, estate planning, and personal financial planning. If you complete the financial services major and the relevant elective classes, you will be eligible to sit for the CFP exam.
