Placement exams are an option if you are qualified and wish to test out of one or more of the following courses:
To be eligible to sit for a placement test, you must have academic credit in the related field. For questions regarding eligibility, please talk to your M.B.A. advisor. If you wish to sit for the M.B.A. 5300 placement test, you must already have credit for M.B.A. 5100: Survey of Financial Accounting.
You must complete placement exams before the end of your first semester in the program.
If you are eligible, you will be approved for placement exams during your initial advising appointment. You cannot schedule exams without first securing advisor approval. For more information on the testing process or to initiate testing approval, please follow up with your academic advisor in 100 Rike Hall or by calling 937-775-2437.
If you have already been approved, please contact the host department to schedule your test date and time.
Tests are offered by appointment during business hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Monday through Friday.
M.B.A. placement exam evening testing is available from 6–7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month and the second Monday of every month, with exceptions for holidays and special events.
You must call the host department to schedule an exam time in advance. If you are not able to attend your scheduled exam, please inform the department as soon as possible. Each department will answer questions regarding the check-in process and test location. You must present a valid photo ID upon check-in.
All exams are given at the Raj Soin College of Business on the second floor of Rike Hall.
View the M.B.A. placement exam study guide (PDF) for general information regarding exam topics.
