Add a business analytics minor to your existing major at Wright State. This minor will increase your value to current and potential employers and allow you to acquire skills that will give you solid career options in the future. This minor is available to all majors.
Business analytics is the practice of discovering business insights through exploration and analysis of information. This practice influences business decision-making through powerful and interactive visualization and data communication. The value of data to the business world is expanding quickly. Modern organizations need to understand a vast amount of data and extract relevant and valuable information.
Business analytics helps organizations better understand their business operations, predict customer demands, monitor production, and improve efficiency and quality. A business analytics minor at Wright State will help you develop these skills. Apply right now to this program and enhance your existing knowledge with the power of analytics.
An increasing number of domains and applications are looking for employees with business analytics skills. McKinsey, Gartner, and other research agencies report that the U.S. could face a shortage of 190,000 individuals who possess deep business analytic skills and an additional 1.5 million managers who can implement the results. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Payscale.com, average salaries range between $75,000 and $88,000 with a bachelor’s degree and more than $90,000 with a master’s degree.
Your classes will focus on experiential learning, allowing you to apply concepts learned in class to real-world situations. We encourage you to take internships during the summer semesters. Internships are coordinated through the college’s career management office, which will help you be aware of job and internship opportunities.
