Why Choose Management?
Management focuses on getting things done. Managers directly support the efforts of other people in businesses and organizations, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities. Managers focus on achieving the goals of the business or organization while being accountable for performance results.
High-performing managers are good at building working relationships with others. A minor in management will help you develop skills, foster teamwork, and create a work environment both satisfying for employees while pursuing the business or organization’s goal.

We encourage you to apply skills learned in the classroom through experiences with local organizations. You will learn from our award-winning faculty and work on significant projects, allowing you to apply your classroom education to real-world situations.
Our Organization Effectiveness Lecture Series hosts expert speakers that focus on leadership, organization development, and innovation in business. The event teams up with local businesses and organizations with more than 100 attendees annually.

Admission
The management minor is open to business and non-business majors. You can be admitted to the management minor program once you are a junior and are in a major program.
If you are a current student and meet these requirements, go to the WINGS Major/Minor change request form or talk to your advisor about adding a minor.
Program Outcomes
When you complete the program, you will graduate with a minor in management. The first two years of the program ground students in the essential, concrete skills needed as business students while the final two years focus on management skills.
