With only three required courses, you can build a program customized to your career goals. We also offer an emerging leaders program that will provide you with additional learning opportunities.

Real-World Experience

Several of our marketing courses are focused on experiential learning, giving you the opportunity to gain experience by solving real business challenges and working with local businesses and executives.

You can develop marketing plans for local startups, or cultivate your own ideas as part of regular classwork. You will work with local entrepreneurs and businesses, like those affiliated with the Small Business Development Center, Air Force Research Labs, The Entrepreneur’s Center, and Wright State Research Institute. Our American Marketing Association of Wright State University (known as the Marketing Club) gives you the chance to develop professionally by applying your skills outside of the classroom.

Admission

Review the admission requirements and complete the admission application. Identify whether you will be majoring in marketing.

If you are a current student and wish to change majors, submit a Major/Minor Change Request by logging in to WINGS, then select Student Academics under Your Launchpad. If you are an undecided/exploratory student, talk to your advisor about majoring in marketing.


Program Outcomes

The marketing program prepares you to work in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer organization. You will learn about the motivations and behaviors and motivations of consumers, how to impact those behaviors, and how to satisfy your costumers sustainably. Learn to create, communicate, and sell, with a thorough foundation in global issues, digital technologies, and data insights. We will teach you how to apply the marketing concepts and planning taught in the classroom in real-world situations.
